If one thing has been getting me through dreary January it's been some of the fab presents I was lucky enough to get at Christmas. One of them being this Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette.
The palette I was given is the Dolce Vita, which is one of ten different looks that you can shop from the range. Charlotte Tilbury is a world famous make up artist who has created her own range of products, so that people can get her signature glamorous, sexy make up looks for themselves. In an effort to make things as easy as possible, the colours have been matched for you and each palatte contains 4 shadows to take you from DESK (day look) to DUSK (evening) and DISCO (night look) there are application techniques listed on the Charlotte Tilbury website. I think it's really great for people who may not be that confident when it comes to application. I love love LOVE the colours in this, and they are my usual go to shades, golds, browns and neutrals.
The shades are l-r in order of application (told you it was easy!) prime, enhance, smoke, and pop.
The plum and gold coloured packaging adds to the luxe feel of the palette and I love the fact that there are no annoying rubbish foam applicators rolling around as I usually find them to be of poor quality and end up throwing them away.
The consistency of the shadows is so buttery and smooth, they are really blendable, (and buildable to help create that signature Charlotte Tilbury smokey eye) strongly pigmented and have really good staying power, when I use them, it lasts most of the day and faded only slightly.
I love these shadows and its definitely one of my new favourite palettes. I am desperate to try more from the range, and although these shadows are a bit pricey (£38 for the palettes) I am definitely tempted to try more!
